Policies:

The Chaska House Bed and Breakfast is a small property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. A deposit equivalent to the rate for one night's stay or 50% of the reservation total invoice, whichever is larger, is required to confirm a reservation. The deposit (to B&B Management) will be applied to the total invoice due upon arrival. Requirements may differ for certain holidays, special events or group reservations. If your plans change and you must cancel your stay, please call us at least five (5) days* prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation. In the unlikely event that you must cancel or shorten your stay with less than five (5) days* notice, or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to be responsible for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made less a $20 processing fee. Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and for some special requests. *Holiday, special event and group reservations require 10 days notice. This policy applies equally to gift certificates. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES: Normal Check-in from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.; Check-out by 11:00 a.m. Arrivals and departures outside of normal hours should be communicated. SMOKING & CANDLES: For the comfort and safety of all guests, candles are not permitted and smoking is allowed outside only on the first floor porches and grounds. A smoke remediation fee will be charged to the credit card of guests responsible for smoking inside. CHILDREN: Children age 12 and over are welcome and are charged as additional persons. Younger children are welcome in the Hemingway's Guest Suites. PETS: Sorry, pets cannot be accommodated. FOOD AND BEVERAGES: Waxahachie has a good selection of restaurants-most have beverage service or allow wine brought by guests. Since we are in a dry county, you may wish to B.Y.O.B. Limited refrigeration space is available for guests' wine, snacks, etc. Soft drinks, ice and glassware are provided. Ice chests are not permitted inside. The dining room may be used for "dine-in" meals catered, delivered, or brought in by guests in the main house.
