Policies:

We understand that unforseen situations occur from time to time. However, as a small Boutique Inn, we are limited in our inventory of rooms and cancellations greatly affect us. Therefore, we are required to enforce our Cancellation/Modification Policy as described below. We encourage you to become familiar with our 14 Day (30 Day Mulitple Rooms) Cancellation/Modification Policy before making a reservation as they do apply for any reason. Deposit A 50% deposit of your entire reservation is processed at time of reservation to secure your room. The remaining balance will be automaticaly charged on the day of arrival to the credit card provided. Should you need to change your credit card, please inform us before your date of arrival. Administrative fees apply if we are required to refund a card. Cancellation /Modification Policy (applies to guests at both properties) If you need to cancel your reservation or modify your reservation, please do so prior to 14 days (30 days for multiple rooms and rooms that involve packages and special events) of the date of your arrival. Cancellations/Modifications are accepted via telephone only and you will receive a cancellation number. Your deposit will be refunded less a $35.00 administrative fee per room. If you need to cancel/modify less than 14 days (30 days for multiple rooms and rooms that involve packages and special events) prior to your reservations, every effort will be made to resell your room(s). If the room is resold for the entire period of the original reservation, your deposit will be refunded less a $35.00 administrative fee per room. If the rooms can not be resold for the entire period of each of the original reservation guests will be charged for the entire original reservation. Reservations for Contracted Special Events are considered sold at the time the reservation is made and therefore there is no cancellation period. Please note that if you arrive after the date specified, depart earlier than scheduled or do not show at all, there will be a full charge for those lost nights. If using a gift certificate, any charges due to a cancellation will be deducted from your gift certificate. If the gift certificate amount is short our deposit policy or cancellation fee, the difference will be billed to your credit card. Due to security reasons and possible damages, we do require a credit card number to secure a reservation, regardless of the use of a gift certificate. Cancellation/Modification Policy - Packages and Special Events (applies to guests at both propertieslocations) Dinners and special events and services: Seating is limited for our special events. Packages are customized for you. For example, massage therapists are booked when you make your reservation. Therefore, we require a 30 day notice of cancellation for special events or services. Due to special arrangements made with outside vendors for certain package amenities, special cancellation/modification fees due apply beyond our normal lodging cancellation fee. Generally, there will be a 25% cancellation fee assessed for package events in addition to our lodging cancellation fee. Check In and Check Out The Belvedere Inn Please note that our check in time begins at 3:00 p.m. and continues only until 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard (Daylight Savings) Time, at which time the front door will be locked. If it is impossible that you arrive before 6:00 p.m. it is imperative that you phone us on your date of arrival, before 6:00 p.m., to arrange for a late arrival (269-857-5777). The front entrance is locked in the evening. Your room key will operate the front entrance. Please be sure the front door locks when entering and exiting. Bentley Waterfront Suites Please note that our check in time begins at 3:00 p.m. and continues only until 6:00 p.m. Easter Standard (Daylight Savings) Time. Bentley Waterfront Suites has a self check-in system. Guest are provided with a door code which is the last four numbers of your telephone number followed by a "#" key (refer to this email confirmation, top right, "Phone Number". If you have given us multiple phone numbers, the first number listed will be programmed). This is your personal code to enter the main door and your Suite. In the foyer on the right wall you will find a console that has an envelope with your registration card which will also give your Suite assignment. Please be sure to sign this registration card and leave it in the lobby. In the lobby, you will also find a courtesy phone to reach your on premise Innkeeper. Again, check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. and checkout is 11 a.m. The code will only work between these hours. Parking The Belvedere Inn The Inn offers offer street parking, on a first come first serve basis. The pparking lot accommodates approximately 20 vehicles. Bentley Waterfront Suites Parking is available directly behind the building. There are 4 spots designated for Bentley, directly behind and parallel to the Inn. These spots are on a first come, first serve basis. We do ask that guests limit themselves to one spot per room Each spot is addressed Bentley. Please do not park in any other spots as you will be likely towed. Note: During November through April, guest may park anywhere in the lot. Miscellaneous (applies to guests at both locations) * We always try to honor your room request but occasionally we may have to change your room. If this occurs, it will always be to a room that is either comparable or upgraded. Rooms that are offered at Special Rates are guaranteed at that rate and the room selection is noted but not guaranteed (except the Belvedere Suite, which is always guaranteed). * Rates quoted for rooms are double occupancy, regardless of age. Children over 13 are welcomed. Select rooms may sleep 3. There is a minimum $50 per person/per night surcharge, please inquire. This must be arranged at time of reservation. Should you show up with a child you will not be allowed to stay and your credit card will be charged the entire amount of your reservation. * No pets allowed. * Smoke free environment indoor. Smoking permitted on grounds outside, no cigar smoking please. A cleaning fee of $200 will be billed to your credit card for indoor smoking. * Access to the property, including guest rooms and its common areas are reserved for registered guests, only. As a courtesy to our other registered guests, we do not encourage the use of our Inns as a gathering location for guest at other properties or guests not staying with us. * There is a $25 charge for complete changeover of rooms due to rooms occupied by different guests during the contracted rental period. * The cost to repair any damages to the property proven to be caused by you or your guest is your sole responsibility. You agree to fully reimburse us for all costs associated with the damage claim. We will use your credit card given for your reservation as a means to collecting the cost. In the event legal action is needed, you agree to pay for all legal costs involved in collecting this matter.
