In 2009 Reservation Nexus introduced several new innovations to both its reservation software and guest management side. These innovations include some of the following: auto-collecting the first night as a deposit, a daily finances report and the mini availability calendar so that guests can see your bed and breakfast's availability.

Innkeepers need a living reservation system to keep up with the changing pace of the bed and breakfast industry. Innovations of 2009 show that Reservation Nexus has continued to serve the needs of innkeepers, by providing more innovations than any other bed and breakfast online reservation system.

Auto Collect First Night as Deposit

Reservation Nexus has offered integrated credit card processing since 2006. In 2009, when guests book online or by phone, you can now charge the first night as a deposit. Auto collect also automatically collects funds for gift certificates and retail/gift shop items.
Mini Availability Calendar

Mini Availability Calendar

There is a fine balance between showing block availability calendars and actually using an availability calendar to encourage rather than discourage guests. While block availability calendars are useful, they can also be harmful.

Daily Finances Report

Daily Finances Report

The daily finances report was released to the Auto Pilot edition of Reservation Nexus in 2009 as part of over 50 powerful reports. Daily finances report combines a lot of the reports into one so that innkeepers can see what was collected and what was actually the balance for the day.

Innkeepers can select any given date and see a balance sheet of what was consumed as well as payments collected during the selected date range

With 50 powerful reports already in place, Reservation Nexus complemented its powerful database with reports by staff members. Based on staff login, Reservation Nexus records who is making reservations for you and who is not.

The staff member who originally created the reservation receives the credit even if additional items are added later. Tax is excluded from the amounts.

Innovating upon permission-based seamless marketing strategies, we added secure newsletter signups to the Auto Pilot edition of Reservation Nexus. People visiting your website can sign up to receive your newsletters, promotions and birthday and anniversary e-cards regardless of whether they have stayed with you or not. We ask a quick security number that only a real person can identify so that you won't get spammed by bots.

Once they have subscribed, a confirmation e-mail is sent to them congratulating them. Reservation Nexus knows that newsletters are a great way to promote your area and encourage guests to come stay with you again. Guests who sign up with you are even added to your guest management system so that they can continue to receive your marketing promotions.
