How do I put 3rd party tracking scripts like Google Analytics into Reservation Nexus (ResNexus)?

3rd party tracking scripts like Google Analytics will allow you to track where your guests are coming from. Not only can you track were your guests are coming from but 3rd party tracking allows you to see how far guests got in the process of booking a reservation with you on Reservation Nexus (ResNexus). This allows you to collect valuable information about your guests and see the value of your Online Reservation System.

Once you log into Reservation Nexus (ResNexus) go to Settings -> Reservation Sources. This will open the RESERVATION SOURCES page.

Disclaimer: Reservation Nexus (ResNexus) is not responsible for any 3rd party scripts that break guest reservations. Please make sure to perform a test guest reservation any time you make changes. You are liable for any scripts that affect the overall performance or wellness of Reservation Nexus (ResNexus).

3rd Party Script



Notice the drop box above 3rd Party Script:. When you open the drop box you will see the following items: Rooms, Retail/Specials, Policies, Guest Information, Confirmation, Gift Certificates, Subscribe to Newsletter.

Once you have obtained your script you will place it into 3rd Party Script: for each drop box item from Rooms to Gift Certificates excluding Subscribe to Newsletter. Select Rooms, paste in the script, and then click "Save". Then go back to the drop box and select Retail/Specials, paste the script, and click "Save". Repeat this process for each drop box item except Subscribe to Newsletter.

When you obtained your script, you should've received two scripts. The second script is solely for the Confirmation Page. The first script which you have already placed into 3rd Party Script: under Confirmation in the drop-box records when a guest reaches your Confirmation Page. This second script records when a guest has made a reservation with you and a sale is made.

Go to the drop box and select Confirmation. The script you already placed in 3rd Party Script: will show up. Paste the second script you obtained below the first script you already put in. Click "Save" when you are finished.

Remember, Reservation Nexus (ResNexus) is not responsible for any breaks in your guest reservation system if the wrong script is put in. Always double-check your work and make sure that you have placed the script in 3rd Party Script: for each item in the drop box except Subscribe to Newsletter. Any breaks in script will result in breaks in Reservation Nexus (ResNexus).
