How do I enable credit card processing of phone reservations?
You can configure Reservation Nexus to have the ability to charge credit cards, place holds and refund charges. This saves you time, secures funds and allows you the ability to collect revenue even when you are away from the office. However, you don't have to use automatic credit card processing as a part of your Auto Pilot feature and can continue to process credit cards manually. Once you log into Reservation Nexus go to Settings -> Credit Card Processing. The following page will appear:
Scroll to the bottom of the CREDIT CARD PROCESSING page to Options and check the box "Enable credit card processing of phone reservations". Click "Save" when you are finished. The only difference between enabling credit card processing of phone reservations and taking a payment for a phone reservation depends on whether you choose to automatically collect a deposit with your credit card processing. If you checked the box "Automatically collect a deposit of:" on the CREDIT CARD PROCESSING then when you process the payment you will have to select the button "Auto-Collect" to automatically collect a deposit. Then when the guest checks in you will process the rest of the reservation payment as normal. If you don't automatically collect a deposit with credit card processing, then when you take a phone reservation you will click on the "Charge the Card" button when you are ready to take payment. << Back |
