Housekeeping

There will be a new release this upcoming Thursday, June 1, 2006. This release introduces housekeeping.

HOUSEKEEPING

We are very excited to introduce housekeeping as part of your Classic Edition of Reservation Nexus. It is found under Reservations -> Housekeeping. General Managers and Owners automatically have access to Housekeeping. You can also grant access to your front desk on their Employee Information page by checking "Housekeeping" under Settings -> Staff -> [Their Name].

Housekeeping allows you to:

  • View the order in which rooms should be cleaned, based on the estimate arrival time.
  • View when guests are switching rooms. Housekeeping indicates the room they are moving from as well as the room they are moving to.
  • View room "turnovers" where one guest is leaving and another is arriving all in the same day.
  • View and update guest preferences and reservation notes quickly and easily. This not only allows you to remember what your guests like, but it also enhances communication between the front desk and the cleaning staff.
  • View which retail items were ordered by the guest. This makes it easy to have them ready in their room upon their arrival.
  • Indicate the status of the room. We currently have: Ready, Dirty, Refresh, Early Makeup, and Turn Down.

On the housekeeping page, use "Print Version" to get a portable version of your housekeeping each day. We recommend printing the background colors and images for full effect and usability. On Internet Explorer, you turn this on under "Tools" -> "Advanced". Scroll down to "Printing" and check "Print background colors and images".

IMPROVEMENTS

  • You can now configure whether to automatically adjust for daylight savings. This setting is found at Settings -> Information at the bottom of the page. The default is yes.

FIXES

  • We resolved an issue where if a minimum night was set, guests could select no more than the minimum night value.

AUTO PILOT EDITION

Those participating in Phase 1 (Promotional Codes) please email your Red Carpet Service Professional with no more than 3 promotional codes scenarios.

Guests make receive one or more of the following rewards for entering a promotional code:

  • x % off 1 to all rooms
  • 1 to all rooms for $ x.
  • x % off any retail item or a specific retail item.
  • A specific retail item for $ x.

Some promotional code examples are:

  • 10% off all rooms if AAA.
  • 20% off the first room if it is your birthday (Promo code "BIRTHDAY").
  • Dozen roses for $49 (normally $69) for promo code "ROMANCE".
  • 10% off any retail item for promo code "HOMESHOW".

We will contact you to schedule a training session after we have entered your promotional codes and as time permits.
