PARTIAL TAX EXEMPTION (December 30th)

We have updated the Tax Exempt tab to allow you to perform partial tax exemptions on the fly. You simply select which taxes the reservation is exempt from. The Quarterly Taxes and Taxes by Date reports have been updated to calculate and display partial tax exemptions.

RESERVATION SOURCES AND GROUPS (December 30th)

We will be moving Reservation Sources and Groups to Classic from Auto Pilot. Reservation Sources allows you to track where reservations come from. You can also include third party scripts, such as Google Analytics, on all major pages of the guest reservation process. Groups allow you to more easily manage group reservations.

NEW MARKETING TEMPLATES (December 30th)

There will be new holiday, promotional and seasonal Auto Pilot marketing templates in addition to what is presently available. If the start of the year is your normal downtime, that's a great time to come up with and schedule your marketing e-mails for 2009. We have also added gift certificate templates for the new gift certificate engine.

GIFT CERTIFICATES (December 30th and January 13th)

We are very excited to introduce to Auto Pilot subscribers our new gift certificate engine. You can create, print, mail/email, manage and redeem gift certificates. There are seven new reports created specifically for gift certificates. We'd recommend that you call and schedule in advance a training session with your Red Carpet Professional much like you did on automated marketing.

We've decided to release gift certificates in two parts to give you time to setup and get use to the gift certificate engine. In December we will release the management side of gift certificates where you can design and manage gift certificates from within Reservation Nexus (ResNexus). In January's release, guests will be to order gift certificates from your website and receive them via e-mail or mail.
