How does Reservation Nexus compare to the competition?
Reservation Nexus is the innovation leader within the bed and breakfast guest management, online bookings and automated marketing industry. Hundreds of inns are coming over to Reservation Nexus from other systems such as Guest Tracker, Webervations, Availability Online, RezOvation, SuperInn and RezStream.
There are so many different types of products on the market. What's the difference between them?
It's important to understand the difference between seamless all-in-one systems versus synch and partial systems, especially when comparing benefits and pricing. Think about how a destination inn compares to a bargain motel. A destination inn has a unique experience, a full gourmet breakfast, high quality beds and unique decor. A bargain motel is very cost effective, but might not be the best night of sleep. The same disparity can exist with hotel and bed and breakfast software.
What's a seamless web-based solution?
Seamless web-based solutions include both online bookings from your website combined with guest and property management, all in one system. There is no possibility of double bookings. You can access your guest reservations from anywhere you have the Internet. Since Reseration Nexus introduced seamless automated marketing to the bed and breakfast industry, that also has become standard for the major seamless web-based solutions although some vendors (unlike Reservation Nexus) are limited on how many clients can be sent promotions.

Webervations 2.0 (formerly InnPal)Prior to being acquired by the owners of RezOvation and bedandbreakfast.com, InnPal was created and entered the market to compete with Reservation Nexus and Super Inn. It's our opinion that InnPal didn't have much success and along with Webervation's history of pricing their products too low to be sustainable long-term those two combinations motivated Webervations to go looking for buyers and was sold off to the makers of RezOvation in 2008. InnPal has since been renamed to Webervations 2.0. Pricing (8 room inn): $19.99 / month. Reservation Nexus foresees this pricing drastically going up over time as RezOvation (a synch solution) is phased out and as Webervations 2.0 is improved upon. The parent company of RezOvation has a history of acquiring technologies, trying to make them all fit together and then having clients switch over to the more expensive product line (Example: Guest Tracker to RezOvation). |

Webervations
American Dreams was the creator of Webervations, Nightclerk Express and InnPAL. American Dreams was purchased by the makers of RezOvation in 2008. Webervations allows guests to make reservation requests from your website. Guests prefer confirmed reservations to reservation requests. Pricing (8 rooms on two computers): Webervations: $10.99 / month. You will need to buy property management software as well. |
RezOvation GT
RezOvation GT is property management software that can synch with RezOvation's booking engine or can synch with Webervations (1.0) which was acquired by the makers of RezOvation and bedandbreakfast.com in 2008. Pricing (8 rooms on two computers): $50 or $90 |
RezOvation GT Online
RezOvation GTO means you use RezOvation desktop software to synch with your RezOvation property management database that is stored on RezOvation's servers via the Internet. The problem with this approach: it's slower than web-based solutions because you have to wait for reservation data to go across the Internet and then be processed by the desktop software. With web-based solutions that is not the case (the data is processed before it is sent to you) and you will notice much better performance. For this reason Reservation Nexus foresees RezOvation putting a lot of effort into Webervations 2.0 in order to compete with the other web-based solutions on the market. What's a partial solution?
A partial system is where you purchase either online bookings or guest management from one vendor and then purchase the other portion from a different vendor. Combined they become a synch system.
