Google Ads allow you to advertise your property directly to consumers. ResNexus integrates with both, and gives you the power to manage them from within your ResNexus login regardless of edition.

Little Hotelier, through their parent company SiteMinder, also integrates with Google Hotel Ads and Google Travel. But for these Metasearch bookings you will need their Pro edition. Little Hotelier through SiteMinder also supports Google Ads.

ResNexus charges a simple flat rate based off of your units and season. In addition, we provide peace of mind with our Lifetime Pricing Guarantee. Rest easy knowing that as long as you own your business, the price of your property management software won’t increase unless you add more units. We only grow when you grow. That’s just one more form of stability that ResNexus provides. ResNexus pricing starts at $30 per month for a single property. ResNexus does not charge a total booking value fee for direct online or over the phone reservations.

Like ResNexus, Little Hotelier charges a flat rate based off of your units. Their Basic pricing starts at $30 plus 1% of the total booking value fee for all bookings. For example, if your total booking value for a month was $1,000 then your total cost would be $40. That means your monthly price can increase based on booking volume with the Basic plan. Little Hotelier's Pro Plan is more expensive than their Basic Plan but drops the 1% total booking value fee. You may have to pay more money to 3rd party partners for some functionality that is normally included in ResNexus.

Right from the start your guest can see what they want to see: your rooms and units! If there is no vacancy then the guest can quickly select the 2-month or more calendar and see when the unit is available right from the start. Your guest doesn't have to guess what dates are available.

There are few things more frustrating to a potential guest than seeing no room pictures when they have selected their travel dates. Little Hotelier Basic starts with reservation calendar with no pictures. To view room pictures your guest will have to click on a link or scroll down the page. In addition, while the Basic plan calendar does show available days with the room rate, when clicked they do not add the room to the cart.

Each individual room page of the ResNexus booking engine has a calendar that specifically shows the rates and availability for that unit. As mentioned before, if there is no vacancy on the main calendar, then the guest can click on the date field to see a 2-month or more calendar that shows future availability.

Little Hotelier's Basic plan calendar grid does show if a room date is sold or available. But as mentioned before it does not let you select the available date. Instead the guest must click on a drop down calendar which does not show future availability. Without this information, it can be hard to tell which date to select in the future.

ResNexus was designed with your guest in mind, because we know that if your guest has a great shopping experience your business will increase revenue. ResNexus uses simple step-by-step progression with room selection, multiple rate types, retail offers, policy agreement, and payment information. In addition, your guest has the option of shopping by special or package first and then selecting the room–a ResNexus-only feature!

Little Hotelier's Pro plan booking engine will start to load all of your rooms, but then will immediately pop up a calendar if the dates are not available. This can be interruptive to the shopping process. Little Hotelier's Pro plan does offer multiple rate types and individual availability calendars for each room. In addition, it does offer step-by-step progression. However, unlike ResNexus the guest cannot shop by special or package first.

During the booking process you can offer retail items, specials, or packages in an intuitive and eye-catching way through side bars. In addition, your guest is shown your add-ons again after they select the room and before payment is collected. Retail items can give your business thousands in additional revenue and enhance your guests' stay.

With Little Hotelier's Pro plan, the add-on, "Extras" or retail item list is available after the guest has made their room selection and entered in their contact information. "Your details" and "Extras" text often appears twice when the section is collapsed.

ResNexus allows your property to offer multiple rate types with a simple dropdown menu. There’s only one “Book Now” or "Add" button for each listing. In addition, your guest has the option of shopping by a sidebar special or package first and then selecting the site—a ResNexus-only feature!

Depending on how the property chooses to set their rate settings, the Little Hotelier Pro plan booking engine provides many different booking buttons which can be difficult for the traveler to parse, especially when they’re just trying to select an individual unit.

If all your inventory is full or your most popular room is not available for the selected dates, ResNexus allows your guest to be put on a waitlist right from your online booking engine. That way, if a guest cancels, you know who to call to maximize your occupancy.

Neither Little Hotelier Basic nor Pro plans allow the guest to be put on a waitlist from their online booking engine.

With ResNexus Travel Protection, you can protect your business from revenue losses from last-minute cancellations due to illness, injury, death, or travel delay. Your guests can simply select the Travel Protection option during the booking process, and if they cancel for one of the protected reasons, both you and your guest will be reimbursed 100% of the booking cost minus the travel protection fee.

Little Hotelier does not currently provide a limited warranty trip protection integration. If a guest has to cancel last-minute due to illness or a health condition, your property must fall back on your own cancellation policies, which could result in a loss of revenue depending on the strictness of your terms and conditions.

During the booking process, your policies stand out because ResNexus uses a simple step-by-step progression throughout the reservation process. ResNexus allows you to call out or highlight the most important policies for your guests to know. In addition, you can require a signature or not.

Little Hotelier provides a link to click to view your policies and terms and conditions again at the end of the booking process. By displaying your policies at end of the booking process, potential guests might overlook or ignore your terms and conditions completely. Down the road, this could lead to guests leaving your business a bad review if policy misunderstandings occur. Little Hotelier requires your guest to click and agree to your policies whether they have read them or not.

The ResNexus Guest Portal allows guests to check in, check out, message your staff, view reservation details, and more! The best part is there’s no app required. All the guest has to do is click the link or scan the QR code, then input their reservation and phone number!

Little Hotelier offers and uses a wide variety of 3rd-party integrations to perform Guest Portal functions similar to those found in ResNexus. This means additional costs for your business.

Not only does ResNexus have some of the best looking Welcome and Thank You emails, we take your business further with Birthday, Anniversary, and Holiday emails and Newsletters. In addition, ResNexus does have a graphical built-in email builder that lets you change text and add images without having to know html source code.

Little Hotelier also offers automatic email templates. However, unlike ResNexus, Little Hotelier does not collect birthday and anniversary dates during the online booking process and thus does not automatically send birthday and anniversary emails using that information.

With ResNexus, potential guests can see your top retail offers and specials right from the start. All your retail items are shown once the guest selects a room—something many of our competitors copied from us. In addition, your guest can choose to shop by special first and the ResNexus Online Booking Engine will guide the guest to select the qualifying dates and rooms.

Little Hotelier's Booking Engine doesn’t have retail sidebars. As mentioned previously, all your add-ons or retail items are shown after the guest has selected their unit. This reduces the opportunities throughout the booking process for your guests to see or consider your add-on offers.

ResNexus helps your property get found and get booked by integrating directly with OTAs such as Booking.com, Airbnb, TripAdvisor, and Expedia. In addition, ResNexus has a unique direct connection to Vrbo that does not use iCal. This helps prevent double bookings from having to manually enter in reservations from Vrbo. ResNexus also connects to the world's top glamping and campground OTAs. ResNexus offers commission-free pricing options to connect to the OTAs. This means that your business has zero additional commission fees charged by your PMS software. In addition, ResNexus does offer hundreds of additional OTA connections through our partnership with a 3rd-party channel manager.

The channel manager SiteMinder owns Little Hotelier and has direct connects to over 450 distribution channels including Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor. SiteMinder is used by and integrates with many property management systems.

ResNexus achieved Preferred Partner status with Airbnb for building and maintaining a quality integration with this world-class marketing channel. This means ResNexus offers powerful features and capabilities built into the PMS system from this provider. For example, we allow you to message and review your Airbnb guests from within ResNexus.

Little Hotelier integrates with Airbnb through SiteMinder, but has not achieved Preferred Partner status.

Many times, a potential guest can get interrupted during the checkout process. ResNexus uses permission-based marketing to send that guest a reminder email to finish booking. In addition, ResNexus protects your clients' guest information and doesn’t sell it to 3rd-party marketing companies. In addition, we follow GDPR regulations and guests must first agree to receive these types of email communications by selecting a box on your online booking engine.

Little Hotelier does not offer a cart abandonment solution.

ResNexus helps prevent a bad experience from happening again by allowing you to ban a guest. Whether they book online or call in to your business, ResNexus reminds you that the guest is on your naughty list.

Automatic guest banning is not available in Little Hotelier.

ResNexus Professional and Premier Editions come with a built-in point of sale system at no additional cost, which makes selling retail items onsite a breeze. In addition, ResNexus integrates with Lightspeed Restaurant POS.

Little Hotelier integrates with a variety of 3rd-party onsite point-of-sale software solutions. This means to sell retail items in person your business will have to spend additional money on those integrations.

With Little Hotelier, your business is unable to charge restaurant orders to the guests room.

In addition to over one hundred powerful reports, ResNexus provides innovative Night Audit functionality. This end-of-day sequence allows you to easily monitor and verify actions taken at your property for each day and generate specific reports to give you an accurate view of your business' performance and balance all transactions. What makes the ResNexus Night Audit so unique is its ability provide a pdf report with hyperlinks to any transaction in the system. This makes coordination and auditing with your accounting staff or service easy and fast.

Little Hotelier provides useful reports to monitor your business. Little Hotelier does not have a Night Audit report similar to ResNexus. However, Little Hotelier does provide reports for a manual night audit process.

ResNexus makes group bookings easy and saves your staff time. After your property has blocked off the dates and approximate number of rooms or units for the group, a custom booking engine link becomes available for you to send to the group coordinator. They can then share this link with all the other group members, and you simply watch as the block fills up with individual bookings. Guests can also make individual payments. This allows the group to decide amongst themselves where to put everyone in the most efficient way. And each guest must agree to your policies as part of this process, so no one is allowed to slip through the cracks. Finally, each guest in the group receives their own automatic confirmation email for their specific reservation.

Little Hotelier does have group booking functionality. But unlike ResNexus, it does not have a specific booking engine link to organize the rooms and collect payment from each and every guest in the party.

ResNexus allows you to impress your guests by allowing them the freedom to access their room safely with ResNexus Wi-Fi Smart Locks. Guests use the last four digits of their mobile phone number for room access and their code only works during their stay dates.

Little Hotelier does not offer Wi-fi Door Locks. Little Hotelier does integrate with a couple of 3rd-party keyless entry solutions such as OpenKey and Abitari.

In the event the guest cannot make their reservation due to one of a wide variety of unforeseen illnesses or health conditions, they can apply for a 100% room reimbursement any time up to 14 days before the departure date or up to 30 days after. The automated Travel Protection refund portal looks like your online booking engine and helps reduce the headache of managing the administration of refund processing. In addition, much of the refund or reimbursement process is automatically handled by ResNexus on your behalf. This reduces back-and-forth phone calls or emails with the guest during the cancellation process.

Little Hotelier does not integrate with a trip protection service, meaning that your business is responsible for handling all cancellations that may occur last-minute due to illness or a health condition.
