June 8, 2026: The fishing has been HOT the past week with monster northern pike, 36" walleye, 14" crappie & lots of largemouth bass being caught. The fishing opener was a lot of fun and full of surprises. While fishing off the docks by cabins 8A & 8B a fisherman had a 4-foot muskie grab onto the bobber and refuse to let go. After having its picture taken and being released, the muskie was spotted later swimming around the dock (scroll down to Video Events & Happenings). There are a lot of muskies in Many Point Lake and some of those muskies are swimming up the Otter Tail River to Little Bemidji & Elbow Lakes. (see EVENTS tab for fish pictures)

🌈TRAIL REPORT: June 1, 2026🌈 The 14 miles of onsite resort trails are turning a lush green (see first two photos). The beaver pond and wetland area as seen from one of the trail observation decks are greening up (see two photos). The following photos are from earlier this spring and last year. One of the signature features of Rainbow Resort is the 14 miles of onsite trails which guests have access to right from their cabins. In the non-winter the trails are great for nature hiking and biking (see attached photos from last fall). Come on out and enjoy the nature trails. We are offering 🎈Free Trail Passes🎈. Simply register in the lodge before going out on the trails.

The NOAA snow depth map for March 20th showed our 4-county area having snow cover at a trace to 16". (The location of Rainbow Resort is shown on the NOAA map by the red arrows.) However, it is still a good time to get out and explore the trails & woods and do some fishing. #justski #skiwise #strava 🎈We are offering FREE trail passes. However, it is still a good time to get out and explore the trails & woods and do some fishing.
Becker County has over 250 miles of groomed trails. The Becker County trails connect to hundreds of other trails in the area. Ride to Detroit Lakes, the Shooting Star Casino, Park Rapids, the Headwaters of the Mississippi River in Itasca State Park and beyond. Of course, when riding on lakes one always wants to be careful of ice conditions as ice thickness can vary greatly.
We have cozy cabins, premium gas, a sauna in the recreation center and some hot food, snacks and beverage in the lodge. After a day on the trails relax in the sauna, play some pool in our recreation center while watching some big games on TV and/or enjoy some hot food and beverages in the lodge while enjoying the scenic overview of the lake. Try some ice fishing as we have good ice fishing and have winter fishing equipment rentals and live bait. We have a variety of activities for the whole family with snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sliding hill, etc.
